The application process is open for the annual Investors’ Forum Awards to reward the organizations and people who significantly contributed to improvement of country‘s business environment and investment climate. Companies and individuals are invited to apply for or nominate the best businesses, government representatives and journalists as well as economic teachers for their achievements in the year 2016.
The following nominations are opened:
Investor of the year – for contribution to the Lithuanian economy and creation of new jobs.
Best decision for business climate improvement – for an initiative or decision that made a significant positive impact on business environment and economy of Lithuania.
Responsible business 2016 – for application of socially responsible and transparent business practices, active involvement in community activities and nurturing of social values, caring for employees and minimizing negative environmental impact.
Public servant of the year – for personal initiative and purposeful effort to taking decisions that benefit the investment climate in Lithuania.
Best business journalist – for a professional approach towards the challenges of Lithuanian economy and informative presentation of the country’s business environment.
Teacher of economics of the year – for contribution towards preparation of a proactive, entrepreneurial, creative and critically-minded young generation.
The traditional Awards ceremony will be held on 21st of April, 2017.
The winners are elected by the members, members of the Board and experts of Investors’ Forum.
Last year prestigious “Investor of the year” award was given to “Danske Bank” for investment inGroup IT service centre in Lithuania. “Rimi Lietuva” won the “Responsible business 2015”award and prof. Tomas Davulis together with the expert group triumphed at the “Best decision for business climate improvement” category for the project of the new Lithuanian Labour Code.The “Best business journalist” award has been granted to Edmundas Jakilaitis while Alytus “Putinu” gymnasium teacher Donatas Vasiliauskas became the best “Teacher of economics 2015”. The “Public servant of the year” award went to Diana Vilyte, Director of the Lithuanian Public Procurement Office for her substantial efforts and reforms aimed at increasing accountability and transparency of the Office.
