Investors’ Forum News

On the 5^th of November Investors’ Forum in cooperation with Transparency International Lithuanian Chapter and ICC Lithuania organised the seminar “How can companies combat corruption”, conducted by Mr. Arvid Halvorsen, a former Senior Vice President of „Statoil Hydro” responsible for CSR and a current adviser to Transparency International Norway and Mr. Sverre Bjerkomp, an adviser to TI Norway.

On 23^rd of October Investors‘ Forum meeting the members of Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. During the meeting Investors had an opportunity to present their point of view on investment climate in Lithuania, overview of business environment and opportunities and challenges for Foreign direct investments in the country.

The World forum for direct investments 2009 takes place on 10-11 of June in Vilnius. The event is organised by Red Hot Locations, a company engaged in producing foreign direct investments events in association with Lithuanian Development Agency (LDA).

On behalf of 10 years anniversary on 9th of June the association “Investors’ Forum” invites the delegates of the Forum for reception hosted by the President of the Republic of Lithuania at the President Palace in Vilnius.

The annual meeting of Investors‘ Forum was held on 26^th of May. The report of the activities happening, results achieved and upcoming plans for the ten year anniversary presented.

Guests invited to the meeting – the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius and representatives of new Investors in Lithuanian economy, already new members of Investors‘ Forum, Mindaugas Liutkaukas and Anatolijus Faktorovičius, Viltechmeda Ltd. (Investors in Lithuania Moog MDG, Ltd.).

Investors meeting with candidate for the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Ms. Dalia Grybauskaitė was held on 21^st of April. During the meeting Investors had an opportunity to present their point of view of investment climate in Lithuania. Ms. Dalia Grybauskaitė presented the main remarks for the Presidential elections in Lithuania.

Investors‘ Forum and Lithuanian Trade Unions‘ meeting was held on 7^th of April.

During the meeting representatives of the organisations discussed the situation of Labour market in Lithuania, Labour market regulations and flexibility.
