On the 5^th of November Investors’ Forum in cooperation with Transparency International Lithuanian Chapter and ICC Lithuania organised the seminar “How can companies combat corruption”, conducted by Mr. Arvid Halvorsen, a former Senior Vice President of „Statoil Hydro” responsible for CSR and a current adviser to Transparency International Norway and Mr. Sverre Bjerkomp, an adviser to TI Norway.

Corruption is one of the key obstacles to sustainable development of our business community and society. During the seminar participants were involved in a brief introduction to various forms of corruption and its consequences with the help of guidelines and publications aiming to help the business sector to work against corruption. Moreover, participants were offered a brief description of the most common forms and extent of business-related corruption in Lithuania and the world, and overview of international and national anti-corruption legal framework, while also addressing past and present anti-corruption tendencies and future expectations.
