Investors‘ Forum“ uniting the biggest investors in Lithuania announced a call for applications and nominations for the  annual awards where the best companies, public institutions, education and media representatives are rewarded for their contributions to improving investment climate in Lithuania. Six nominations are going to be presented: “Investor of the year”, Responsible business 2016”, “Best decision for business climate improvement”, “Public servant of the year”, “Best business journalist”, and “Teacher of Economics of the  yearApplications and nominations for this year’s awards are accepted until the 10th of March. They can be submitted here.
Winners will be announced during the official ceremony, which will take place on the 21st of April in Vilnius.

The award ceremony held annually since 2012 attracts more than half a thousand participants and guests – top-level executives, politicians, public figures and media leaders. The guests of the ceremony are also invited to the traditional Investors’ Forum members concert. 

Last year prestigious “Investor of the year” award was given to “Danske Bank” for investment inGroup IT service centre in Lithuania. “Rimi Lietuva” won the “Responsible business 2015”award and prof. Tomas Davulis together with the expert group triumphed at the “Best decision for business climate improvement” category for the project of the new Lithuanian Labour Code.The “Best business journalist” award has been granted to Edmundas Jakilaitis while Alytus “Putinu” gymnasium teacher Donatas Vasiliauskas became the best “Teacher of economics 2015”. The “Public servant of the year” award went to Diana Vilyte, Director of the Lithuanian Public Procurement Office for her substantial efforts and reforms aimed at increasing accountability and transparency of the Office.
